Something about this time of year settles in and anticipates everything that’s to come.

A few favorites from this week:
We’re bringing back Show & Tell this fall
Beyond bringing a pet to school, the grown-up version has better stuff. Gather your people, bring the shell you carried home in your suitcase, your grandmother’s silver, the strange little painting you bought for $20, or something that signifies the season. Good collections aren’t about having important things. They’re about things with a story.

Cookie sheets deserve way more than cookies
Let the kitchen workhorse have some fun this fall. Load one up with a dozen oysters, sandwiches, a pile of peel-and-eat shrimp, an easy cheese board, or a round of porch drinks, whatever needs carrying from here to there. Thrift a few well-loved ones for a little extra patina. You know those are the best anyway.

Style your bandana
The bandana isn’t going anywhere for fall. We’re just giving it some good hardware. Add a collected bolo ring, wear it loose at the neck, and suddenly an old favorite has a new point of view. A little Western, a little salty, and just enough to make a white shirt feel interesting again. Our kind of easy fall accessorizing.
What we restocked at home

All the straw totes. We reach for them every day, schlepping to the farmers market, tossing in boat towels, or carrying a workday’s worth of stuff. They’re our lifeline this time of year.
Thanks for being here. We love you and appreciate what you bring to our lives every day.
